Club membership is to help support our riders in every way we can. The club is non-profit and run by volunteers who are passionate about what they do.

Membership Details

New riders get 2/3 membership-free rides at the discretion of the group leader, unless otherwise agreed.

Where Membership Fees Go

Refreshments
Each ride includes cake and coffee back at the shop. Although included in fees, we do ask for a donation, which covers additional costs. All proceeds go to a select charity at the end of the year. We are part of the local community so we help to support it.
Events & Insurance
Your membership allows us to run events which raise even more money for the club. Events include: Sportives, Time Trials, and the normal group rides. To run events and group rides, we need our own insurance, which isn't cheap.
Event entry
We enter some of our riders into events such as races and sportives. Race events allow our faster committed rider to compete, and raise the profile of the club. (There are restrictions, and you must have a good reason for wanting sportive entry fees eg: charitable or landmark)
Kit
Custom kit is surprisingly expensive. We use club fees to offset the price for our members, to make it cheaper for them. At the time of writing the saving was equal to the cost of membership.
